Day 3 - LA County enters Orange Tier!

Recording an AUDIO-lecture today…

4/7/21. Wednesday.

7:30 – 8:30 - I set my alarm for 7:30, but lay in bed, listening to The Daily until around 8:00.  I’m up and I go downstairs to greet the animal.  It’s too early for her, so she’s out of it.  I rub her tummy three times, she grabs her toy, and we go outside. It’s on the cooler side, but still nice weather today. Back inside, and coffee for me, cheese for her.  I go upstairs.

8:30-10:00 – Shower. Lotion. Shorts and a T-shirt. Light make-up. I listen to The Daily, Today Explained, and What a Day.

10:00-2:15 – B. arrives for “patio coffee” with coffee and a croissant from Starbucks for me and coffee and lemon pound cake for him.  B. talks about his Arizona vacation and his trip to the Grand Canyon and says he had a great time.  It sounds fun. Talk politics.  B. leaves.

2:30-4:00 – I eat the salad I made yesterday and read Small Fry.

4:00-5:00 – Short nap.

-L. leaves for work.

5:00-7:30 – I’ve been dreading recording this lecture for Specialty Class 1A. It’s convoluted and I know actual lecture time will be close to 2 hours. My script is in front of me, I prep audio clips, and then record lecture.

7:30-8:00 – I am sooo glad that’s over.  I listen to parts of the lecture and it’s…okay.  I have a few more edits for the Google slides that I send to L. 

-8:00 – L. returns from work.

8:00 – 9:30 - Although it’s late, I decide to have some crackers with sliced sausage, cheese, and hummus. I know the crackers count as a carb and might result in weight gain tomorrow; HOWEVER, I’m also eating protein at the same time.  I experiment with 5 crackers and the toppings I mentioned and wash it down with champagne.  I read Small Fry.

9:30-10:00 – L. has some time so she makes the final edits to the Google slides and downloads my AUDIO lecture to Canvas.

10:00-11:00 – Outside and I water all of my plants. I listen to True Crime Garage.

11:00 – 11:15 - Once inside, I’m dismayed to see that the dog pooped in the middle of the floor.  I’m sure this is in retaliation for locking her inside while I watered my plants.

I’m extremely pissed.

11:15-12:00 – Kitchen duty and I prepare my lunch bag for tomorrow. I listen to a few new podcasts: The Fall Line (thumbs down) and Tapes from the Darkside (just okay).

12:00-12:45 – Nighttime routine. Bed. I listen to What a Day.
