Day 15 - Mask mandate REINSTATED by LA County Dept. of Public Health
Omicron rates continue to drop in Los Angeles just as the BA2 variant is spiking in the EU. There’s usually a 6-week outbreak lag between the EU and the US which means…coming soon! to a theatre/country near you!! Introducing…BA2! Rotten tomatoes and “public health officials” give this variant a 50% on the “nastiness” scale, saying it won’t be as bad as Omicron. If I hadn’t already contracted Omicron, I’d be terrified.
Dr. Kimberly Shriner, an infection disease control specialist, from Pasadena Memorial, whom I actually respect, said new studies are showing that our T and B cells [she calls them “the police force of the immune system”] seem to remember this virus and will rise again to fight the good fight. If that’s the case, why do “public health officials” continuously recommend we still “get boosted”, even after we’ve already had Covid? Won’t our T and B cells protect us forevermore? Based on Dr. Shriner’s commentary, why are antibody counts still used to show success in vaccine trials?
It looks like the boosters are fading approximately 45 days after injection. I’ve said this before…we need to insert an IV drip in a port in our chest and have it running 24/7 in order to ensure maximum protection. Has this been the case for the flu vaccine as well and nobody bothered to tell the American people? Can you imagine… Big Pharma releases the ”get your flu vaccine” ad campaign every year…is it possible that all this time the flu vaccine, like the booster, only gave Americans 45 days of protection? It’s inconsequential to me as I never get the flu vaccine, but what about all those people who thought they were protected?
Recently, B. got his flu vaccine and his booster shot together, at the same time. Big Pharma was advertising “the combo” so they could up-charge insurance companies for both the flu vaccine and the booster, while at the same time assuring my fellow Americans that injecting two competing vaccines, simultaneously, is not harmful. B encouraged me to get the flu vaccine, too. Uh, the flu was eradicated and completely overtaken by Covid in 2020 [no, this is not a conspiracy theory – look it up] and it was virtually non-existent in 2021 . Omicron swept through our county like a wildfire in January and February, probably stamping out the flu again, as Covid did in 2020. Why would anyone get a flu vaccine now?
3/2/22. Wednesday
8:00-8:30 – My alarm is ringing, so I turn it off and lie down again. I have a headache and I take two Advil.
8:30 – 9:00 – I finally get out of bed and go downstairs to say good morning to the dog. She’s still asleep so I sit next to her and rub her tummy until she’s ready to go outside. The dog jumps down, grabs her toy, and we head to the backyard. I stand around, admiring my plants after applying 4 hours of TLC to them last night. Return inside, and coffee for me; cheese for her. I go upstairs.
9:00-10:45 – Shower. I sit in the shower, drink my coffee, and put ice on my eyes. Spa day. Full make-up and I curl my hair. I wear a periwinkle T-shirt from a French Festival L. and I attended in Santa Barbara a few years ago, yoga pants, and tennis shoes.
11:00-4:00 – B. arrives and we go to the hot bar at Whole Foods and I fill one of the the small boxes with curry, rice samosas, and hot wings for lunch. B. and I go to his house and eat lunch outside on the patio and talk politics.
5:00-8:00 – B. and I watch more episodes from The Servant, a show I can’t stand.
8:30-9:00 – B. drives me home
9:00-10:00 – I fall asleep in my chair
10:00-10:30 – Nighttime routine. I lay out my clothes for tomorrow and set my alarm for 4:45 a.m. Bed.
