Day 20 - LA County moves into yellow tier

Dining at Piccola Trattoria tonight…

5/22/21. Saturday

9:45 –10:15 -  I’m up, but I need transition time so I stay in bed.  Downstairs for coffee and I say good morning to the  animal. There is nothing in the “rat zapper” today.  We go outside and she finally does her business.  Cheese for her; coffee for me.  I go upstairs.

10:15-1:00 – Blog posts.  I have a S’mores cupcake from the specialty batch of cupcakes that L. purchased for my birthday.

1:00-2:00 – I have some of the pork stew I made the other day and read We Came.

2:00-4:00 – …and the day is officially shot to hell.  It’s almost over and I’ve done nothing. Shower. Lotion. Spa day. I pack my overnight bag and load a few items in the car.

4:00-5:30 – I transplant my honeysuckle plant and pot a smaller plant near the fountain. Then, I water all of my plants.

5:30 – I leave for B.’s House.

5:45 – 6:45 – Cocktail Hour at B.’s house.  We talk politics.

7:00 – 9:30 – B. and I have dinner at Piccola Trattoria.  I order the Calamari appetizer as my entrée, but B. encourages me to order a real entrée so I also order the Capellini Al Pomodoro.  The food is incredible and I devour the calamari!  The capellini arrives and I have several bites before giving up and boxing it to take home. It is so good! OMG!

10:00-12:00 – Home and B. and I watch Initiation, a terrible slasher-movie, where dirty frat boys are killed, one after the other. I picked the movie, B. actually had to pay $6.99 to rent it, and it sucked.  It is not possible to get a refund for this terrible expense. B. is a good sport and even takes the time to solve the who-done-it, before the Scooby-Doo reveal at the end.

12:00-12:45 – Night time routine. Bed
