Paxlovid causes Covid (I think…)

President Biden’s got the “Rona” again.

Although Biden is fully vaccinated and double boosted, he tested positive for Covid on 7/21/22. Even though his symptoms are mild, his doctor immediately started him on Paxlovid for reasons I don’t understand. He had “mild” symptoms! Biden completed the 5-day course (THIRTY pills) and twice tested negative for Covid…before testing positive for Covid…again.

I have a theory. I think Paxlovid, which combines Nirmatrelvir and Ritonavir tablets, somehow creates the Covid virus. You’re not experiencing a “rebound.” You’ve actually contracted Covid because Paxlovid causes Covid.

If you’ve got the guts, try this unscientific study: make sure you test negative for Covid, then take a 5-day course of Paxlovid. By day 8, you will have contracted Covid.

8/1/22. Monday

7:00-I wake up because a trash truck drives by and the dog starts barking. I open the blinds for the dog, open my bedroom door in case she wants to go outside by herself, and go back to sleep.

8:30-8:45-I’m awake again because the dog is licking my arm. We go downstairs and I heat up the Starbucks coffee that L. bought for me yesterday and take it upstairs. I still weigh 97.

8:45-11:30-bullet journal

11:30-2:45-I have some apple sauce cake and report to my office.

I tally the Discussion Board posts for Online Class #1 at College No. 2, update the gradebook, and send emails to all students who are getting Ds and Fs in the class that 8/4/22 are the last days to drop. Same for Online Class #2. I also post an Announcement to both classes.

Extra Credit essays are due so I print out all of the submissions.

I have the last of my leftover Thai saffron rice.

2:45-4:30-I put on workout clothes then read 13 Ways of Looking at a Fat Girl [this is L.’s recommendation] and eat the last of yesterday’s ice cream which probably amounted to 3 tablespoons.

4:30-5:00-I take the dog out, swipe the downstairs toilet, tidy the dining room-kitchen area, then back upstairs for a 10-minute Ab workout.

5:00-5:30-I’m feeling light-headed so I break for apples and almond butter before I do a 30-minute, Insanity Max - Friday Fight workout. I read a Money Diary and a Laura Vanderkam blog post.

5:45-6:30 - I do a 30-minute, Insanity Max - Friday Fight workout and collapse.

6:30-8:00-I eat the Dixie cup of salad that came with one of L.’s take-out orders and a boiled egg. I finish 13 Ways of Looking at a Fat Girl.

8:00-8:45-I take the dog for a walk.

8:45-9:15-I bring in my trash cans and put the pillowcases back on my patio pillows.

9:15-11:30-Kitchen duty. I fry a pack of bacon, make overnight oats, chop up celery and add almond butter, pack my lunch bag, and ready my coffee for tomorrow.

11:30-12:30-I set aside this time period for personal planning for the month of August and schedule a 7:30 am Beach Cycle reservation.

-I’m planning a mini-vacay retreat in Santa Barbara and I review the Santa Barbara hotel selections that L. forwarded to me.

-I schedule a Lotus Land tour for September.

-I sign up for the 8/19/22 Books and Brews book club [sponsored by the library] at Wood Creek Restaurant.

-I check the Placerita Nature Center calendar and log Birding and the Botany Trail Walk into my calendar.

12:30-1:00-I pick a hiking outfit for tomorrow and paint my nails.

1:00-1:30- Nighttime routine. Bed. I set my alarm for 6:00
