Day 53-Governor Newsom reinstates the mask mandate in California

B. brings back a “Day of the Dead” tile from New Mexico…

2/6/22. Sunday

8:00-8:30 –I wake up congested with lots of phlegm and stay in bed.

8:30-9:30 – I go downstairs to say good morning to the animal.  Surprisingly, the dog is up and leaning against the child-gate at the bottom of the stairs, waiting for me and wagging her tail. She starts barking when she sees me and we go outside straight away. I survey the yard while I wait for the dog to go potty. The dog does her business and we return inside. Coffee for me; pieces of turkey for her. I grab my coffee, two cold spoons I put in the fridge last night, and a bag of ice. I go upstairs, lie down, and put the cold spoons over my eyes. The spoons don’t last very long, so I use the bag of ice as a substitute.

9:30-10:00 – In accordance with my Curated Closet project, I try on more items in my closet and discard.

10:00-11:00 – Shower. Lotion. I put on jeans and a blouse that I bought 17 years ago and recently discovered after the great closet purge. It fits and I still like it. I accessorize with my orange Airwalker shoes. I listen to The Daily and Marketplace Morning Report.

11:00-3:30 – B. arrives with Starbucks and Krispy Kreme donuts.  We sit outside and he tells me all about his recent trip to New Mexico. It sounds fun and he brought back a Day of the Dead tile from a New Mexico artist for me. We talk politics the last hour. B. asks me how I’m feeling and I reply, “Ummm, I think I have Long Covid.” B. says, “Oh, you still can’t smell or taste anything?” I never lost my sense of taste or smell. B. leaves.

3:30-4:30 – I heat up a bowl of something I froze months ago and discover that it’s some of L.’s leftover cheesy potatoes. While the potatoes are in the microwave, I go through my filing cabinet and pull out papers that I 3-hole-punch for my “Medical Binder” in accordance with The Paper Project book that I recently read.

-I read Floating Feathers.

4:30-6:00 – Blog posts

6:00-6:45 – I take the dog for a walk and listen to Southern Fried Crime.

6:45-8:30 – Blog posts

8:30-9:30 – I go to Sprouts and buy a few groceries.  Nobody is in the store and everyone is masked except some gross Amazon-looking fat couple who appear to be 6-feet-tall. They’re disheveled and look disgusting. I continue listening to Southern Fried Crime.

9:30-11:00 – Home and I put the food away and clean the kitchen.  Then, I ready my lunch bag and coffee for tomorrow. I take my trash cans out.

11:00-12:00 – bullet journal.

12:00-1:00 – I take a short nap.

1:00-1:20 – I change into my pajamas and take a photo of today’s outfit in accordance with my Curated Closet project.

1:20-2:00 – I listen to Organize 365.

Oops – I fall asleep.

2:00-2:30 – bullet journal

2:30-5:30 – I’ve been behind on my blog posts, but tonight I knock out my final December post. I’m  into January content now.

5:30-6:00 – Nighttime routine. Bed
