Day 6 - Los Angeles lifts its vaccine mandate. A vax card is no longer required.

I had a mini, deep-dish pizza from BJs today…it was amazing…

BA2, the sub-variant of Omicron, is racing through the East Coast and is expected to replace Omicron entirely.  The surge is coming! The surge is coming! When to get a second booster shot, though?

The NIH [National Institutes of Health] is on it, conducting booster trials of various vax cocktails to see which magic combination (six vaccine combos are being studied) will solve the Omicron Rubik’s Cube.  Hmmm…Moderna is one vaccine and the other is…don’t tell me, let me guess…Pfizer? How do you get six combos out of two vaccines? Nobody is going to allow an AstraZeneca jab and the FDA banned J&J.  Additionally, as I’ve said numerous times in this blog, they’re still injecting us with the same shit from 2 years ago!

I love how people laugh about how sick they get after their booster injection:

“I was laid up for 24 hours after I got my Pfizer booster…heh, heh, heh.”

“I couldn’t get out of bed for two days and had to call in sick when I got the booster. That’s okay, though…it just means its working…heh, heh, heh.”

“I got ‘Moderna Arm’ again, but after a week the swelling went away…guess that vaccine is doing it’s job…heh, heh, heh (rubs arm affectionately).”

“My period stopped…”  “My face froze…” “I was nauseous most of the week…”  “I had severe diarrhea…” “I’m still exhausted…it’s been two weeks.” The Greek Chorus:  “BUT THAT MEANS THE VACCINE IS WORKING!” [happy face emoji]

Does it mean the vaccine/booster is NOT working if you have zero symptoms after getting the jab? Heh, heh, heh…  Public health officials won’t go there.

Seriously people, how many times are we supposed to inject ourselves with this sketchy shit? I’m not an anti-vaxer, but it’s so obvious there’s some sort of problem…what will be the long-term effects? To date, I’ve had one dose of J&J and still contracted Omicron. What will be my fate?

4/5/22. Tuesday

4:45-5:00- Too early. I lie in bed for transition time.

5:00-5:15 - Downstairs for my coffee and the dog is fast asleep. You know the drill, tho. As soon as the microwave kicks on, she jumps off the couch and staggers over to say good morning. We go outside straight away and I wait for her to go potty. Return inside and cheese for her; coffee for me. I go upstiars.

5:15-6:15-Spa Day. Then, I sit in the shower, drink my coffee, ice my eyes and listen to The Daily. I dress in “Sexy Librarian” attire, put my bags in the car, and I’m on the road by 6:15.

6:15-7:25-Driving. Traffic is horrible. I listen to Best of Both Worlds and have apple slices and almond butter for breakfast. When I’m done eating, I put my makeup on in the car.

7:25-7:40 - Arrive, and I finish putting on my make-up in the parking lot.

7:45-8:00-I take my temperature via the standing thermometer [“Temperature Normal!”] at the office and sign in. Have I mentioned that I’m the only person who bothers to stand in front of the thermometer? Everyone else just breezes by…what gives? This is stupid protocol. Recall that this school is still masking…

8:00-9:30 - Class is in session. Today’s feature presentation is a podcast, followed by a podcast quiz. I sit in the back of the classroom and work on blog posts.

9:30-9:45-Class dismissed. I drop off Attendance and walk to my car.

9:45-10:45 - Driving. Traffic is horrible. I listen to Today Explained.

10:45-11:00-Back in town and I get gas and a small bag of peanut M&Ms. Gas is at $5.93 a gallon if you pay in cash.

11:00-11:30-Return home and I bring in my bags and unpack everything.

11:30-12:30-B. Arrives and we go to BJs for take-out and bring it back to his house. I order a mini-Deep-dish pizza and a salad. The pizza is excellent! Spoiler Alert - I gain 3 pounds at this sitting and spend the rest of the week trying to get back down to 95.

12:30-7:30-B. and I have lunch and talk politics. Lunch turns into cocktail hour (at his house) and then I ask B. to take me home.

7:30-8:00 - Home and I’m exhausted. This might have something to do with the fact that I was up at 4:45 A.M.!!

8:00-9:30-I upload blog posts; then

10:00-10:30-Kitchen duty and I ready my coffee for tomorrow.

10:30-11:15-Nighttime routine. Bed
