Day 60-Governor Newsom reinstates the mask mandate in California

Super Bowl Sunday at L. and R.’s house…

2/13/22. Sunday

4:00 – of course I’m awake.  Like clockwork, I almost always wake up after 4 hours of sleep. I have a headache and terrible cramps, so I take two Advil, set up a podcast, and go back to sleep.

8:00-9:30 – Up and I tidy my room, then go downstairs and greet the dog. She’s asleep on her back, so I sit next to her and rub her tummy for awhile, until she finally rolls over and jumps off the couch.  I hand the dog her tennis ball and we go outside, where I see she pooped in two places on the patio (sigh). Return inside and cheese for her. I clean up a vase of flowers T. gave L. Then, I go back to the patio and plant the hydrangea that I purchased on Friday and pick up the dog poop. I trim runaway branches on some of my shrubs, then bring in the carpet steam cleaner basin that L. left outside and store in the laundry room.

-Kitchen duty and I make a cup of coffee, then have a couple of Sees candies.

-The screw-superglue project involving L.’s Caraway pot lids worked so I re-hang her lids.

9:30-11:00 – I try on more clothes from my curated closet project and discard. I listen to Today Explained and the BBC,

11:00-11:20 – I take pictures of outfits I wore over the past several days in accordance with my curated closet project while listening to NPR Politics.

12:45-1:00 – I do a 15-minute Insanity Max-Ab workout.

1:00-1:45 – I do a 30-minute Insanity Max – Tabata Strength workout.

1:45-3:00 -Shower. Lotion. Full make-up. I wear the same outfit that I wore to Bookclub Brunch on Thursday.

3:00-9:00 – B. picks me up and we go to R. and L.’s house for Super Bowl Sunday. Their son and his girlfriend arrive later. I have 2 margaritas, a piece of pizza, chips and dip and carrots and dip. I find out that L. is an avid hiker! B.’s friend, R. (her husband) recently had back surgery and he is not as mobile as he used to be so she’s been hiking alone of late. We discuss where we’ve hiked before and I very casually tell L. she can text me if she ever needs a hiking partner. Note: no attempt is made to exchange contact information. I mention that B. and I are going hiking tomorrow at East Walker Ranch and L. and R. want to come, so we make arrangements. The Rams win. B. and I leave.

9:00-11:00 – B. takes me home and he comes inside.  He has water and I have champagne. We talk politics. B. leaves.

11:00-1:00 – I try to update my bullet journal and blog post and accidentally fall asleep in my chair.

1:00-1:30 – Nighttime routine. Bed.
