My parents and L. and I had Brunch at Old Town today…

8/29/21. Sunday

7:00 – I’m awake, but I lie in bed for the next 30 minutes.

7:30-8:00 – Downstairs and I say good morning to the animal and wait for her to wake up while I rub her tummy. She grabs her toy and we go outside.  I water a few of my potted plants while she goes potty. Return inside and pieces of ground turkey for her; coffee for me. I go upstairs.

8:00-9:00 – Shower. Lotion. Covid-19 uniform.

9:00-9:30 – I go to my office, log onto the Enterprise website, and am actually able to reserve a car! Even in the midst of the Covid-19 rental car shortage!  Enterprise is only open from 10:00-2:00 on Sundays so I have to get moving.

9:30-10:00 – I wake up L. and tell her I need a ride to Enterprise so I can pick up a rental car.  L. is extremely pissed that I woke her up for this task…but what am I supposed to do? I need to get a rental for myself ASAP so L. can drive MY car for her first day of school tomorrow. All of this is for L…

10:00-11:00 – I eat two of the gourmet cinnamon cookies from the bag that L. brought home while I wait for her to get up. I work on a blog post.

11:00-11:45 - Finally, L. crawls out of bed and we leave for Enterprise. L. drops me off and I get a 2020 Nissan Altima.

11:45-12:00 – Driving to my house.

12:00-12:30 – By the time I get home, L. has gone back to bed. I put on my make-up.

12:30 – 3:00 – My parents arrive and we leave for brunch at The Old Town Junction. We take my car and L. drives. The food at The Junction is amazing. I get the “Bottomless Bubbles” mimosas and the Blate – [bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato, egg, American cheese, lemon aioli, and brioche] and L. gets the Braised Short Rib Benedict and a couple of mocktails. Mom pays for everything!

3:00-3:30 – Return home and my parents leave.

3:30-5:00 - I read a Money Diary and take a nap.

5:00 – 7:00 – I take this time to do class prep for my Monday afternoon class. I listen to my pre-recorded lectures – Part I and II – and compare the lectures to the Google slides to make sure everything is tracking. I have several edits for L. on this pass and she wants me to show them to her in the next couple of hours because she is going to bed early since she has to leave the house at 6:30 a.m. tomorrow for her first day at Otis. I also tighten up the Discussion Board.

7:00-7:30 – I take the dog for a walk.

7:30 – 9:00 – L. and I leave to drop her car off in Trident’s parking lot, where it will remain parked overnight. It’s a well-lit area and the parking lot is full so I hope/think it will be safe. After, we drive to Pops Creamery and L. gets the pineapple bowl while I get one scoop of Lavender-Honey ice cream in a cup. It’s a nice night so we sit outside Pops and eat our ice cream.

9:00-9:30 – L. and I stop off at Walgreens so I can pick up the photos of the paint-can lids that I take whenever I paint a wall in this house so I can color match it if I need more paint. I know people use their phones for this kind of task, but I just purchased an Iphone so I’m still old-school and using a camera for these types of chores.

Home and L. makes the Google slide edits and then gets ready for bed.

9:30-11:00 – I read a Money Diary and do a 1-hr Insanity-workout.

11:00-12:00 – Kitchen duty and I pack my lunch bag for tomorrow, then get everything ready for class, to include setting out my Beets speaker and Netbook so I don’t forget anything.

12:00-1:00 – Blog post.

1:00-2:00 – Nighttime routine. Bed.
