Day 14 - LA County moves into yellow tier
Grading papers and working on L.’s speech assignment today…
5/16/21. Sunday
8:00-8:30 – I’m awake so I go downstairs to greet the animal. It’s too early for her and she’s still asleep. I wake her up by rubbing her tummy and after the third time, she grabs her toy and we go outside. She does her business and we return inside: coffee for me and cold-cuts from last week’s charcuterie box for her. I go upstairs. Today, I weigh 99.5 pounds.
8:30 – 10:00 – Unpleasant task - grade papers.
-L. goes to work.
10:00-12:00 – Reward - I eat leftover Mexican food and read Raising a Thief.
12:00-2:30 – L.’s speech assignment - Why I Should be Promoted to Manager at the Art Studio - is due at midnight so I complete the assignment, per our agreement on Friday. It takes longer than I thought it would, but I complete it and email to L.
2:30-3:30 – Unpleasant task - grade papers.
3:30-5:00 – Reward – I read Raising a Thief
5:00-6:00 – Shower. Wash hair. Lotion. Covid-19 uniform. I listen to The Daily and the Pop Culture Happy Hour.
-L. returns from work.
6:00-7:00 – I braid my hair and read Raising a Thief.
L.’s friend, B., comes over to cut L.’s hair. B. has almost completed her cosmetology license program at the Paul Mitchell school. She’s already a great hair stylist.
7:00-9:30 – I take the dog for a walk and listen to Be Wealthy and Be Smart. After, I put my trash cans out and spend more time working in the garage, purging and re-organizing items. I listen to This American Life while I work.
9:30-10:30 – Blog posts. I publish next week’s Module for College No. 2, then clean up my bookmarks on Google Chrome.
10:30-11:00 – Kitchen duty. I take the dog outside and a new issue has developed. She refuses to go potty. Instead, she constantly walks around the yard, sniffing at things, tracking the rat, etc. It is so irritating! I have to remind her to “Go potty!” constantly and we’re outside way longer than we have to be.
Lock up.
11:00 –12:00 – I eat cherry tomatoes with hummus and a slice of cheese and read a Money Diary.
1200-1:00 – I do an Insanity – Pure Cardio workout.
1:00-2:30 – Recover. I have champagne and work on a blog post but accidentally fall asleep.
2:30-3:30- Nighttime routine. Bed
