Day 13 - LA County moves into yellow tier

My birthday cake!!!

5/15/21. Saturday. My Birthday!!!

9:30-10:00 – I’m up so I go downstairs to greet the animal.  She’s already up and running around, but jumps on the couch and rolls over on her back so I can rub her tummy three times.  We go outside and she runs around the yard before she finally goes potty.  Return inside – cold-cuts from last week’s charcuterie box for her; coffee for me. I go upstairs.

10:00-11:00 – I read Raising a Thief.

11:00-12:00 – Shower. Lotion. Covid-19 Uniform. Light make-up. I listen to Martinis and Your Money.

12:00-1:00 – Blog post.  I order some spray paint and hair color from Target.

1:30-2:00 -  B. picks me up and we drive to his house to celebrate my birthday!!!

2:00-6:00 –B. and I talk politics, specifically we have a discussion about the podcast The Line about retired Navy SEAL, Eddie Gallahger. B. already ordered take-out from Margaritas, my favorite Mexican restaurant, and the food is amazing!! B. makes me a margarita and we watch a 60 Minutes episode about the “Ritchie Boys” from WWII, followed by The Woman in the Window [starring Amy Adams] on Netflix. I liked the movie.

6:00-7:30- B. presents a marble cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes and it tastes fabulous!!! B. also gives me a card [lots of cash inside (insert happy-face emoji)] and a beautiful turquoise wallet covered in various flowers – I love it!  I have a Prosecco-in-a-can with the cake.

7:30-9:00 – We watch an episode of Mere of Eastwick and then B. drives me home.  A really great day!!

9:30-10:00 – Driving

10:00-10:30 – Home and today’s Mother’s Day/Birthday gift from L. consists of a birthday card with very nice comments written by L. and a pair of All Birds shoes, allegedly the lightest tennis shoes in the world, to be used during my Insanity workouts. Perfect fit!

10:30-12:00 – I had a great birthday!!! and decide to call it a night. I read Raising a Thief for a while. Nighttime routine and I listen to Counterclock. Bed
