Day 18 - the WHO names Omicron a “variant of interest”

I finish installing the last of the pink lights on the ivy wall…

12/12/21. Sunday.

L. has homework so we opt to skip breakfast with the family and head out early.

8:30-9:30 – I’m up so I make a cup of coffee and start my shower. Lotion. I put on corduroys and a turtleneck.

9:00 – L. is awake and starts getting ready.

9:30-10:00 – I finish packing, including all of our leftovers, and L. calls the Valet and asks them to fetch the car.

10:00-10:30 – We walk downstairs, tell the Valet we’re here, and wait for the car.

10:30-12:30 – En route home. Driving.

12:30-1:00 – We stop at Starbucks for coffee.

1:00-1:15 – Home and I bring everything in from the car and put away the leftovers.  L. takes a nap immediately.

1:15-1:45 – I take the dog for a walk; then

1:45-2:45 – I heat up my eggs, bacon, and hash browns from yesterday’s breakfast and eat on my feet while performing kitchen duty.  I listen to the Productive Woman while I’m cleaning and eating. When I’m finished, I unpack, put everything away, store my suitcase, and start a load of laundry.

-I take a quick break and eat a strawberry cupcake that Mom purchased from Casey’s Cupcakes while I listen to Profit Boss, specifically the episode on 529 college funds.

2:45-6:30 – Gardening. The leaves are intense and it takes forever to rake and sweep everything and to clean the beds and the pots.  I also pick up dog s—t. The yard is a mess and this is so time consuming, not to mention I’m freezing. I don’t water my plants because it might rain tomorrow. I listen to Boys Like Me and Best Laid Plans while I work.

-L. leaves for Trader Joes to get eggnog and returns with a bouquet of flowers!  Awww…thanks L….It’s the little things.  I take a break to put the flowers in water and hang-dry my laundry.

7:00-8:30 – I’m finally done with yardwork so I take my trash cans out then write a blog post. I have a tiny glass of eggnog.

-L. reports to the art studio (garage) and listens to Ink Masters while she works.

8:30-10:30 – The new strands of twinkling pink lights arrived a few days ago so I unpack and install them on the fake foliage wall. I’m up and down the ladder repeatedly, but finally finish. L. likes them.

10:30-11:00 – I decompress by reading Deep Work.

-L. finishes her homework.

11:00-11:45 – I do a 30-minute Insanity Max-Power workout.

12:00-1:30 – I watch a few You Tube videos from Alaina Fingal – The Organized Money - while I upload a blog post. Then I check the course content for my Asynchronous class, adjust the Module Home Page, and write a new intro for the Final. I also go through every question on the Final to make sure the content matches the Modules. When I finish, I publish this week’s course content.

1:30-3:00 – I shut everything down, take the dog out, and work on my bullet journal, until I accidentally fall asleep.

3:30-4:00 – Nighttime routine. Bed.
