Day 19 - CDC recommends all J&J patients get a booster after 2 months
Dinner at B.’s…
11/8/21. Monday.
6:00 – L. leaves for her long day at Otis
10:00-10:30 – I’m up and I go downstairs to greet the animal. She’s awake and lying at the foot of the stairs, waiting for me. When I come down, she jumps on the child gate, wags her tail, and climbs up on the couch so I can rub her tummy. After three times, I cue her to go outside, she grabs her toy, and we head out to the patio. I see that she pooped in two places on the cement (sigh). Return inside and cheese for her, coffee for me. I go upstairs.
10:30-12:00 – Spa day. I wash my hair. Lotion. I change into my Covid-19 uniform for now and finish packing my overnight bag. I listen to The Daily and PBS News Segments.
12:00-12:45 – I water my plants and listen to Crime Junkie.
12:45-1:15 – I check email at College No. 1 to see if any students canceled for the day and I also set the timers for the course content. I respond to a few emails.
1:15-1:30 – Upstairs and I change into a black dress with a white peter-pan collar and black heels. I bring my overnight bag downstairs and load all of my bags in the car - school bag, Filo-Fax folder, lunch bag, back-pack, overnight bag, pillow and bolster pillow - and leave.
1:30-2:30 – Driving. I eat my spinach salad in route and listen to The Global News Podcast.
2:30-5:30 – The Socratic Seminar assignments are due and the first hour of class involves students responding to their favorite prompts. Then, lecture, a chapter review quiz, and the first 20 minutes of a documentary. The remainder of the documentary is assigned for homework. There are only 6 students in class; the rest are online.
5:30-6:30 – Class dismissed and I take attendance, then email those students who didn’t sign in on the Discussion Board, informing them that they were marked absent and will receive a score of 0 on today’s assignments.
6:30-8:00 – I leave and drive to B.’s house, but I get lost and spend 30 minutes driving around before I pull into the Costco parking lot and text him for his address. I don’t usually come from this direction and it’s dark now on account of Daylight Savings Time so all the landmarks look different. I plug his address into my Garmin and finally arrive.
8:00-12:00 – Cocktail hour. B. serves salad, salmon, and rice. We talk politics then go to bed.
12:00-12:30 – Nighttime routine. Bed.
