Day 18 - CDC recommends all J&J patients get a booster after 2 months

L. finally selects her storage options…

11/7/21. Sunday

9:30-10:30 – Awake and I go downstairs to say good morning to the dog. She’s also up, but she jumps on the couch and rolls over on her back so I can rub her tummy, then she climbs on my lap for kisses and cuddles. Outside we go and I “walk the property” to see how the yard is doing.  She goes potty and we return inside: I make a cup of coffee and give her pieces of cheese.

I head straight into the “art studio” (garage) to cut to size and nail the last piece of plastic ivy on the wall. I listen to Best Laid Plans while I work. I have a great sense of accomplishment when I place the last panel! This part of the reno project is complete.

10:30-11:30 – I clean out the refrigerator and meal prep by chopping carrots and zucchini.  Then, I make a spinach salad, with carrots, zucchini, pepper-jack cheese, and tomatoes for tomorrow’s lunch bag.  I clean the kitchen and sweep. I listen to NPR Politics and More.

-L leaves for her 1-hr lesson with her private art student. After, L. will report to the Art Studio for the next 7 hours.

11:30-12:00 – I wash my face, brush my teeth, and get dressed in my Covid-19 uniform.

12:00-1:00 – I have a piece of gluten-free toast with almond butter and raspberry jam and read My Cesarean.

1:00-1:30 – I take the trash cans out and start packing my overnight bag for tomorrow; then

1:30-2:00 – I select a potential work outfit for tomorrow and try it on to make sure it still fits.

4:00-4:45 – I take the dog for a walk and listen to Hurry Slowly; then

5:00-6:00 – drive to Michaels to purchase frames for L.’s collages. I use my teacher discount.

6:00-7:00 – Quick stop at BevMo to take advantage of their “Buy One Get One for a 5c (nickel)” sale and return home. I listen to Hurry Slowly.

7:00-8:00 – I trim L.’s collages to size to fit the new Michaels frames I just bought, then hang them in a section of the garage, as if they were an exhibit. They look great! I listen to Death, Sex, and Money – I Love My Dad, But I Don’t Love Guns.

8:00-10:00 – I go to work (enter home office). I review the course content for tomorrow, then listen to the corresponding audio lecture. I also update the Discussion Board prompt and adjust my lecture notes.

L. returns home and makes a linguini pasta with chicken sausage and a special sauce.  She brings me a plate around 9:30 and I eat it while I continue reviewing tomorrow’s lecture. The pasta is amazing! The current lecture and slides are sound – there are no edits for L. to make this go-around.

10:30-12:00 – I’m finished with work, so I leave my office and drop my plate off in the kitchen. It looks like a bomb went off in here so I spend the next 90 minutes doing the dishes and cleaning and sweeping the kitchen. I finish packing my lunch bag and ready my coffee. I listen to The Pop Culture Happy Hour.

12:00-2:00 – Return to my office for Life Admin. I spend this block of time updating my August through October monthly budgets with my online purchases, then I calculate where I’m at with the garage conversion. Sadly, I’m over budget at $9995. I say “over”, because I originally allotted $10,000 for the entire reno, but I still need to pay for door installation and hardware and I have no idea how much that will cost.

-Another confrontation with L. regarding the links I emailed her concerning the storage containers for her paints and art supplies. I enter her room and demand that she pull up the samples I sent her and weigh in on the containers.  Does she approve?  L. is not happy about the interruption, but she begrudgingly pulls up the sites and gives a thumbs up.  I’m not exaggerating when I say this task took 30 seconds.

I order the containers.

2:00-3:00 – I do an 10-minute Insanity Max-Ab workout, followed by a 20-minute Insanity Max-Pulse.

3:00-3:30 – Nighttime routine. Bed.
