Day 22-BA5 takes the lead

Experts say that people infected with BA.5 can develop a cough, runny nose, sore throat, fatigue, persistent headache and muscle pains. Basically, ANY symptom is a BA5 symptom…could the Experts be more vague?

7/14/22. Wednesday

8:30-8:45-I wake up with a splitting headache and the dog starts licking my hands sympathetically. I drag myself out of bed, take the plunge, and weigh myself - 99 pounds. This means I was probably 102 when the plane touched down.

8:45-9:00-The dog and I go outside. Cheese for her; coffee for me. I go upstairs and take Advil.

9:00-9:45-Shower. Lotion. Light make-up. Athletic Housewife attire: I wear my new teal yoga pants, a t-back bra, and my spaghetti-strap tank top.

9:45-10:10-I leave for my dental appointment - I’m getting fitted for a mouth guard after the right side of my jaw started popping whenever I yawn or just open my mouth wide. My dentist can’t reverse the wear-and-tear on the jaw joint, but he says a mouth guard might prevent it from getting worse. Of course, my insurance doesn’t cover it.

10:10-10:30-Dental appt - it’s a short visit.

10:30-10:45-While in the parking lot, I take the time to curate the pile of photos I brought with me; then

10:45-11:15-I go to Home Depot to buy lightbulbs for my office lamp; after that,

11:15-11:30-I drop off my cream-colored pants to my dry-cleaner/tailor and ask him to raise the hem by a 1/2-inch.

11:30-12:30-Home and I post course content for my students. I have ONE egg left, so I make a scrambled egg with oat milk and add some of the dogs cheese. Don’t worry - it’s not specifically made for dogs, but I cut a block of cheese into small squares for HER, but now I’m eating it.

12:30-1:00-I eat my egg and listen to What a Day. My headache is improving…

1:30-2:30-I do a 10-minute, Insanity Max-Ab workout and a 30-min, Insanity Max - Strength workout.

2:30-3:00-L. surfaces and we quickly go through the Italy-Greece pictures I’ve set aside. We’re quarantining, so we both mask. I ask L. to select the six best pictures for our “gallery wall” - I’ve already made my selection - and together we make the final cuts.

3:00-5:30-bullet journal

5:30-6:15-I order 5x7s of the six photos we selected from Walgreens

6:15-7:00-I have pasta leftovers - from where, I don’t know - and watch the last episode of This is Going to Hurt.

7:00-8:15-I’m exhausted so I take a power nap.

8:15-8:45-Up and I go to Home Goods to buy a photo album; then

8:45-9:10-I pick up the pictures I ordered from Walgreens before they close. After;

9:10-9:30-I take the dog for a walk.

9:30-12:00-Gardening. I spend this time picking up dog poop; sweeping my patio; cleaning the beds; and using dishwashing soap and water to wipe down my patio table. When I’m done, I water all of my plants.

12:00-1:30-I watch A Vigilante while I insert the new Walgreens photos into my six “gallery frames”. The movie is…just okay.

1:30-2:30-I place all of my Greece-Italy photos into the new album that I just bought at Home Goods.

2:30-3:30-Nightime routine. Sunless tanning. I touch up my nails. Bed.
