Day 23-BA5 takes the lead
7/15/22. Thursday
8:00-8:30-Another splitting headache. The dog sees that my eyes are open and starts licking my hands again. I think this will be her new routine. I take the dog outside so she can go potty, then cheese for her; coffee for me. I hang the Greece-Italy picture frames in my makeshift gallery downstairs. This involves a nail and hammer. By far, these are the absolute best pictures! They look stunning!
8:30-8:50-I post content for my two summer classes and respond to student emails.
8:50-10:00-Shower. I sit in the shower and ice my eyes. Lotion. I wear my new Audrey Hepburn shirt that I bought at the Leaning Tower gift shop (er: tent), shorts, and my silver flip flops.
10:00-1:00-B. arrives for patio coffee with Starbucks and a donut for me. I show him my album, the new “installation” on the gallery wall, and tell him about all of my adventures. I also give him the souvenirs I bought for him. B. leaves.
1:00-1:30-I have more leftover pasta from a dish I made and froze eons ago.
1:30-5:30-I spend the rest of the day sleeping off and on. Maybe I overdid it yesterday by staying up so late? Or maybe I contracted BA5 and I’m in the midst of recovery? Or maybe I still have Long Covid from my original Omicron infection? Or maybe I’m just jet-lagged? Whatever the reason, my body is all f—ked up.
5:30-7:30-I fully intended to meet my Striders group at 6:30, but I’m so fatigued, I can’t move. It’s rare that I would miss my walking group but I can’t seem to get out of bed. I do try but I have absolutely no energy.
8:00-10:00-I go back to sleep.
10:00-10:30-I take the dog out. Light kitchen duty.
10:30-12:30 - Nighttime routine. Bed. I feel like I’ve been run over by a truck.
