Day 22 since I was injected with the J&J vaccine
The Village at Topanga…
4/30/21. Friday
6:00 - No
9:00-9:30-I’m awake for real so I weigh myself - 99 - then go downstairs to say good morning to the dog. She’s awake and running around, but when she sees me come downstairs, she rushes to the couch and rolls over on her back so I can rub her tummy three times. She grabs her toy and we go outside so she can go potty. More dog poop on the patio, so I pick it up. She does her business and we return inside for her treat – leftover chicken from one of L.’s take-outs.
9:30-10:00 – Kitchen duty. After, I make coffee.
10:00-12:30 – I start a load of laundry. Blog posts
12:30 – 1:30 – I make a spinach salad with cherry tomatoes, celery, and a boiled egg. I read a Money Diary and Aftermath outside on my patio.
2:00-2:30 – I do a brief Insanity – Cardio Abs workout. I’m supposed to do this in conjunction with the 1-hour Cardio workout, but I typically split them up.
-L. leaves for work.
2:30-3:30 – Shower. Wash hair. Lotion. Covid-19 uniform. I listen to Vox’s The World.
3:30-4:30 – I braid my hair and read Aftermath.
4:30 – 5:15 – I take the dog for a walk and listen to Martinis and Your Money.
6:30-9:30- L. returns and we drive to The Village at Topanga Plaza, in Woodland Hills, to a place called Afters, for ice cream. The Village is so beautiful! Apparently, L. and N. have been here before and L. is very familiar with it. This is an open-air mall, filled with stores and white lights strung between them. There’s a huge fountain in the middle and benches and places to sit throughout. Everyone is masked, even though we’re outdoors, thank God. I get the “peanut butter and jelly” ice cream and L. gets…something??? My ice cream is incredible. We sit outside, eat our ice cream, and talk about whatever. After about an hour, we head home.
9:30-10:30 – L. and I call my Mom and Dad and we talk for awhile about the family drama that is brewing between my aunt and uncle. OMG.
10:30-1:00 – B. and friends are coming at 12:00 tomorrow to cart away items from the garage. I don’t want them to think my garage is disorganized so I take the time to re-organize it. I discard items very liberally and throw A LOT of things away. When all is said and done, I manage to put almost everything in just one shelving unit (pretty incredible), with the exception of my Halloween decorations – they’re on two suspended shelves. The garage looks pretty empty.
I mask and wear gloves because there are rat droppings everywhere in the section of the garage where the work bench sits, to include inside the drawers. I can’t give B.’s daughter the work bench when it’s in this condition so I clean it, inside and out. It is so disgusting – I hope I don’t get the Hantavirus…
I don’t want B. and friends to see how filthy the garage is, so I sweep and even use the broom on some of the walls.
1:00-2:00 – Kitchen duty and I straighten the house. What if B. and friends need to come inside and use the bathroom?
2:00-3:00 – Nighttime routine. Bed. I set my alarm for 8:00.
