Day 3-All CA students must be vaccinated

I made this tonight…

10/3/21. Sunday

10:00-10:30 – I wake up naturally and go downstairs to greet the animal. She’s already awake and wagging her tail when I come downstairs. As soon as she sees me, she jumps on the couch and rolls over on her back so I can rub her tummy.  I sit next to her and give her attention until she’s ready to go outside. She’s so spoiled! Then, she grabs her toy and we head out to the backyard.  I wait for her to go potty and we return inside: coffee for me, pieces of pepper-jack cheese for her.

L. leaves for her private lesson at the home of her art student.  After, she will report for work at the Art Studio.

10:30-12:00 – Blog posts.

12:00-12:30 – I have a piece of gluten-free toast with cinnamon almond butter and strawberry preserves.

12:30-1:30 – I spend this time packing for my upcoming trip.

1:30-2:30 – Shower and I wash my hair. Lotion. Covid-19 uniform.

2:30-3:30 – I read Work Won’t Love You Back while I braid my hair; then

3:30-4:00 – microwave a bag of saffron rice with peas and carrots and continue reading.

4:00-4:45 – I do a 30-minute workout with my new Insanity Max 30 series that I recently purchased. Recover and start a load of laundry.

4:45-5:30 – More blog posts. I pull my clothes out of the washing machine and hang them to air dry.

L. returns from work.

5:30-6:00 – I take the dog for a walk and listen to Film Week by Air Talk; then

6:00-6:15 – I take my trash cans out; and

6:15-6:30 – talk to L. about her day.

6:30-7:30 – I sweep the yard and pot one of the new snapdragons that I recently purchased while listening to the New York Times-Book Review.

7:30-8:15 – L. and I talk about college and how it’s going at Otis.

8:30-9:30 – I go to Sprouts so I can buy a few items for my upcoming trip.  I buy Lara Bars, Justin almond butter, champagne, carrots, pepper jack cheese, and chocolate-covered pretzels. I listen to This Land – Season 2.

9:30-11:00- I make and bake a cod and vegetable dish, then freeze a portion of it. Kitchen duty takes a long time tonight and I also prepare my lunch bag for my class tomorrow AND my upcoming trip. I listen to Today Explained.

11:00-12:30 – I check in with my four classes. First, I publish course content for my Asynchronous class at College No. 2, then ensure that content is ready for my highschoolers on Wednesday and Friday. I create Discussion Boards for both days and make a few changes.

I’m teaching Specialty Class 1A tomorrow so I tweek the Discussion Board and create intros for the Midterm and the Video Quiz. I check email at College No. 1 and get roped into taking two mandatory online courses, entitled Covid-19 and Mandatory Reporter. Together, these two classes take an hour to complete. I listen to Crime Junkie while I take the courses.

12:30-2:30 – L. starts making a knock-off recipe for Starbucks lemon pound cake.

I check my personal email.  I’m still waiting to hear back from Elite Doors so I send an email. I listen to Happier with Gretchen Rubin while I’m working.

-I also respond to “Beatrice” regarding volunteering at my local library.  They have no place to put me, i.e., there are no volunteer positions available, although a request for volunteers was advertised. Even if there were positions, I can’t volunteer unless I’ve had a “live scan” [fingerprint check].

-I’m concerned about my overdue library books, but when I check my account I find that the library automatically renewed them for me.

-I order the Van Gogh book that B. liked at the Van Gogh Gift Shop after our Immersion experience and sign his B-day card.

-I complete my timecard for College No. 1

-I renew my Home Warranty policy.

-I upload my blog posts to my website and listen to Hurry Slowly.

2:30-3:30 – I accidentally fall asleep

3:30-4:00 – I continue uploading four blog posts to my website and listen to more Hurry Slowly podcasts.

4:00-5:00 – Nighttime routine. Bed.  I set my alarm for 7:00 a.m., unfortunately.
