Day 31 - Los Angeles lifts its vaccine mandate. A vax card is no longer needed.

Where did the day go?…

4/30/22. Saturday.

8:30-8:45-I’m awake so I go downstairs to greet the animal. She’s awake, too, so I sit beside her on the couch for kisses and cuddles. Eventually, I cue her to go outside and we head for the backyard…she pooped in two places on the patio (sigh). I wait for her to go potty and we return inside: cheese for her; coffee for me. I enter my office.

8:45-10:30-Blog post. I listen to Air Talk and Happier.

-L. Leaves for Otis to work on a project

10:00-10:20-I go through my receipts to reconstruct what I was doing last week, then:

10:20-12:15-return upstairs and I update my bullet journal, while listening to Marketplace Money and Martinis and Your Money.

12:15-1:00-I sit in the shower, drink my coffee, and ice my eyes, while listening to What Next. Lotion. I change into “Athletic Housewife” attire (leggings and a tank top).

1:00-1:15-I clean out my wallet; then

1:15-2:10-walk the dog and listen to Today Explained, What Next, and the PBS Newshour.

-L. Is back but leaves for work at The Club.

2:10-2:40-I have some of the shrimp fried rice from yesterday and one of my pre-made spinach salads for lunch and listen to another episode of What Next.

3:00-5:00-I take a nap; and

5:00-5:15-listen to Organize 365.

5:30-6:50-I start a load of laundry, then do a 15-min Insanity Max-Ab workout and a 30-minute Insanity Max - Strength workout.

7:00-7:45-I spray down the AstroTurf in the backyard, hang the floral test tubes on the palette, and water all of my plants. I listen to Case File.

-L. returns from work, packs a bag, and leaves for T’s house.

8:00-10:00-I go to Michaels and Home Depot, but have a couple of lemon almonds before I go. I also get gas and buy a bag of peanut M&Ms as an impulse buy. Most of the employees are masked at Michaels and Home Depot, but it’s hit-and-miss with the customers, although very few people are here. This is why I shop predominantly at night. I listen to NY Times Book Review and Marketplace. I buy miniature Venus Flytraps for the test tube planters (Home Depot) and frames (Michaels) for three of L.’s charcoal sketches, because those frames are falling apart. I use my teacher discount at Michaels, as always.

10:00-12:00-Home and I pot three new plants and finish the palette project. I still need to plant Venus Flytraps in two of the test tubes - I didn’t buy enough - and another test tube keeps falling down. I listen to PBS Newshour segments and Film Week and have a few peanut M&Ms to keep my energy up.

12:00-12:15-I have a few bites of cottage cheese.

12:15-1:45-I take another nap.

1:45-2:00-Nighttime routine…I take out my contacts and remove my eye make-up.

2:00-3:45-I dust off the top of the cabinets and all of L.’s charcoal drawings (I had to remove them to make room for the contractor) and put the new frames on three of her pieces. Then, I drag the ladder inside and place her sketches, using previous photos I took so I would know where to return everything at a later date.

Kitchen duty. I listen to Fresh Air and Pop Culture Happy Hour.

3:45-4:00-Resume nighttime routine - I wash my face and brush my teeth. Bed.
