Day 34 - CDC recommends all J&J patients get a booster after 2 months

…one of the areas inside the Maude Woods shop…

…the Lemon Tree restaurant…excellent avocado toast!!…

11/23/21. Tuesday

8:30-9:00 – I’m up and I go downstairs to say good morning to the animal.  She still asleep on the couch, but when she sees me come down the stairs, she rolls over on her back so I can rub her tummy. I sit next to her on the couch and she climbs in my lap for kisses and cuddles. Finally, I cue her to go outside, she grabs her toy, and we head to the backyard. I stand around, waiting for her to go potty. Return inside; coffee for me; sugar cookies for her. I go upstairs.

9:00-10:00 – Shower. Lotion. Covid-19 uniform. I listen to The Daily.

10:00-11:00 – Driving to Pasadena. I listen to Best of Both Worlds.

11:00-12:00 – I go to Maude Woods, this cute, boutique store, filled with gorgeous Xmas decorations and charcuterie board accoutrements, that was featured in the LA Times Gift List I got from B.  Serendipitously, right next to the boutique is a restaurant called the Lemon Tree so I order an excellent piece of avocado toast with eggs and potatoes to go.

12:00-1:00 – Driving.  I eat my avocado toast in the car, but I can’t finish it and have leftovers. I listen to Marketplace.

1:15-2:00 – Home and I take the dog for a walk and listen to Happier.  Unbeknownst to me, my Ipad falls out of my backpack…but I find it!  Whew!

2:00-2:30 – L. is home and we discuss her day at the Art Studio. She opted to forego Otis this week so she could teach a holiday camp at the Art Studio and make some extra cash.

2:30-3:00 – I touch up my make-up and get dressed.

3:00-3:30 – I meet with L. so she can splice-and-dice tomorrow’s lecture and then airdrop it into three Canvas shells.

4:00-6:00 – B. arrives and we go to BJs for happy hour.  We sit at the bar because when we arrive, it’s not that crowded; however, the bar quickly fills up and I’m so uncomfortable. Only the staff are masking because of the dumb Covid protocol that says customers can remove their masks as soon as they’re seated at their table. I order mozzarella sticks (happy hour menu) and two glasses of Chandon.

6:00-9:30 – We leave and return to my house where B. and I talk politics. B. leaves.

10:00-11:00 – L. is spending the night at her boyfriend’s house. I read Boundaries and fall asleep.

12:00-12:30 – Up and I take the dog out.  Should I set the alarm?  I don’t know if L. is coming home early tomorrow…

12:30-1:00 – Nighttime routine. Bed.
