At Fia for my Mother’s Day Dinner…

5/8/22. Sunday. Mothers Day!

9:00-9:30 - I’m awake and I lie in bed. I’m feeling much better - the “Moderna Malaise” (my term) has passed.

9:30-10:30-I’m up so I go downstairs and say good morning to the animal. we go outside and I stand around, waiting for her to go potty. Return inside and cheese for her; coffee for me. I take my coffee upstairs and read Women in the Picture. Then I eat a donut

10:30-11:30-I color my hair, change a light bulb, and start reading Run to the Danger while the color sets. I listen to The Daily-Sunday morning.

11:30-1:00-Shower. Spa day. Lotion. I blow dry my hair and paint my toenails, then put on yoga pants and a sleeveless blouse.

1:00-1:30-I go to Home Depot to return the mini-Venus fly traps I purchased for my pallet project. The first batch are not faring well and several of them died in the course of 24 hours. Staff are masking, but the customers are not.

1:30-2:20-Return home and I slice a red pepper and some pepper jack cheese and wrap it sliced deli-turkey, which I have for lunch.

2:20-2:45-I’m exhausted and need to lie down. Moderna booster?

2:45-3:00-T. and L. surface with Mother’s Day gifts. They each have a bouquet of roses for me, and champagne. L. gives me a beautiful butterfly, pink-Swarovski crystal necklace that I absolutely love. She also gives me a heartfelt card with her musings/commentary - I might love the card more than the necklace.

3:00-3:15-L. trims my hair while I stand in the bathtub.

3:15-3:45-I put on jeans and touch up my make-up.

3:45-7:00-B. arrives with Sees Candy [Mothers Day] and takes L. and I to Fia for my Mother’s Day dinner. Like everyplace else, staff are masking but the customers are not. I have calamari for my appetizer, the meatless lasagna, and 2 glasses of champagne. For dessert, B orders the Tiramisu and it is to die for.

7:00-8:00-Driving - return to my house.

8:00-9:00-B. and I watch one episode of The Thing About Pam, but I immediately fall asleep. I think this might have something to do with the booster. B. Leaves

9:00-12:00-I just need to lie down for a minute and end up taking a 3-hour nap in my clothes. gross.

12:30-1:15- Nighttime routine, while listening to Dateline. Since today is Mother’s Day, L. actually did the dishes!

1:30-3:00-bullet journal. Bed
