Day 44-Governor Newsom reinstates the mask mandate in California

Errand Day…

1/28/22. Friday

8:00-8:30 – Another headache and my eyes ache. I take two Advil and remain in bed, listening to Organize 365.

8:30-8:45 – My body hurts.  I crawl out of bed and go downstairs to say good morning to the animal.  She’s asleep and wags her tail when she sees me approach.  I sit next to her and note that she pooped right in front of the doggy door.  Why not go the extra 4 inches and poop outside? I pet her tummy, then clean up the dog poop (sigh). She grabs her toy and we head to the patio where I wait for her to go potty. Return inside and coffee for me; turkey for her. I grab a bag of ice and go upstairs.

8:45-9:30 – I sit in the shower, lean my head against the tiles, and place the bag of ice over my eyes. I listen to The Daily. Lotion. LuLu Lemon black leggings. Black, long-sleeved, athletic shirt. Orange Air Shoes. Light make-up.

9:30-10:00 – Driving to therapy.  I listen to Chameleon: Wild Boys

10:00-10:30 – Therapy session. I like therapy!

10:30-11:00 – Return from therapy. I listen to Someone Knows Something: The Next Call.

11:00-2:00 – B. arrives with Starbucks and patio coffee. B. asks me how I’m feeling. I reply, “Um…I think I have Long Covid…” B. replies, “I think you emailed me some links about that…” B. and I talk politics and he leaves.

-L. leaves for work.

Errand Day

2:00-3:00 – I have a $25 coupon and drive to Jiffy Lube for an oil change. The mechanic tells me that the oil change will cost more than past oil changes because they only have the most expensive oil on account of the “supply chain”, but he graciously offers to give me another $15 off the more expensive oil. My air filter is disgusting and needs to be replaced, so the mechanic promises me a $10 discount off the air filter. When the cashier rings me up, I note that the $15 discount and the $10 discount aren’t listed on the receipt. What a surprise.  I ask the cashier to add the discounts which he does with a “Sure, no problem”, but what would have happened if I hadn’t pointed it out?  Even so, with a $50 deduction, the price is still $89. For Jiffy Lube. I listen to Fresh Air.

3:00-3:45 – I stop by 3 Goodwills, but NONE of them are taking items. I listen to Martinis and Your Money.

3:45-4:00 – I stop at the Recycling Center and return my plastics.  I get $5.75

4:00-4:30 – This is unusual for me, but I call in a turkey burger with steak fries at Red Robin. On the way to pick-up my order, I stop by a flower shop and drop off some vases that contained L.’s many flower arrangements that she received for her birthday so the flower shop can reuse/recycle them.

4:30-5:30 – I drive to Red Robin and my turkey burger isn’t ready so I sit and wait for a few minutes. When it comes out, waitstaff inform me that the bill is $15!!  For a turkey burger??!! This may be the last time I ever come to Red Robin.

5:30-6:15 – Home and I eat most of my turkey burger and steak fries.

6:15-7:00 – I take the dog for a walk.

7:00-8:30 – Blog posts.

8:30-9:30 – L. returns and we talk about her day at the Art Studio, which wasn’t good. L. shows me a few Tik Tok memes about Covid, specifically spoofing on the CDCs new 5-day quarantine policy.  These memes are super funny!  Gotta love Gen Z….Generation humor.

9:30-9:45 – I do a 15-minute Insanity Max-Ab workout.

10:15-11:00 – I do a 30-minute Insanity Max – Sweat workout.  As noted in previous blog posts, I experience a deep, internal wheezing in my chest during part of the video. This is when I have to pause and follow the “Moderator”.  I eventually make it through.

11:30-12:30 – Bullet journal and I listen to Citations Needed.

Oops – I accidentally fall asleep.

1:00-1:30 – I take the dog out and lock up. Then, I have a few pieces of dark chocolate and almond butter.

1:30-2:00 – Nighttime routine. Bed.
