Day 9-Biden said the pandemic is over
On 8/31/22, the FDA issued Emergency Use Authorization for the Moderna and Pfizer bivalent, a booster designed to combat Omicron BA4/BA5. Big Pharma finally decided to put some new shit in their vaccine after their profit margins dipped. Once you’ve had the “1-2 Punch” [original 2-dose series]; followed by a booster of the same sketchy Covid-19 OG [original ‘gangsta’] vaccine; THEN you can get the bivalent booster, referred to as the “updated booster”, as long as you wait TWO months after your last shot. Buyer beware, though…it takes 14 days for the bivalent to go into effect, at which point you’ll have about 6 months of protection IF another new variant doesn’t surface. If a new variant does, in fact, come on the scene, you’re SOL.
Get this - nobody knows if the bivalent even works because the FDA issued Emergency Use Authorization WITHOUT HUMAN TRIALS, which is unheard of. Clearly, FDA palms were greased by Pfizer and Moderna. Of interest, is the fact that the UK and Europe are NOT administering the bivalent; they continue to use the original 2-dose series + the BA1 vaccine because Big Pharma has virtually no influence in these countries. Europe probably told Big Pharma to pound sand when presented with the bivalent.
You can’t use the Moderna bivalent on kids; Pfizer won’t administer their bivalent to anybody under the age of 12. Dr. Peter Chin-Hong recommends the bivalent to three groups of people: 1) the un-vaxxed; people over 65; and pregnant women. HOWEVER, if the pandemic is over [per Biden], why is anybody getting the ‘jab’?
9/27/22 - Tuesday.
7:00-7:20-My alarm goes off. The dog slept with L. last night so I heard L. take her outside earlier. I go downstairs and take the dog out a second time. Then, I do the dishes and put a few food items in my backpack. I make my coffee and go upstairs.
7:25-8:15-Shower. I sit in the shower, ice my eyes, and drink my coffee. Lotion. Light make-up. Athletic Housewife attire for this morning’s hike. I don’t have a car, so L. drops me off at Placerita Canyon, where I go birding the first two Saturdays of every month.
8:35-10:30 - **Non-Spoiler alert: I forgot to take notes for this day so your guess is as good as mine as to what I actually did.
10:30-12:00 - B. picks me up and we drive to Clark Street Diner for breakfast. I’m buying B. breakfast because he is driving me to the Pantages so I can get deeply discounted tickets for the Book of Mormon, in person, at the box office. Clarks is a homage to Hollywood and resembles a 50s/60s diner - there are over 50 black-and-white head shots of actors and actresses I care nothing about at one end of the building. The service is slow, but it’s not the waitress’ fault; the food is just okay and I have a couple Mimosas. L. recommended this place for the cheap eats. The bill is $85.15 - I pay.
12:30-1:00 - We drive to the Pantages and I get the tickets. It’s $178 for L. and I (a steal and I don’t have to pay the $75 required processing fee when you order them online…highway robbery). I’d rather allocate that money to B’s breakfast then pay Ticketmaster.
1:00-2:00 - We drive to my house and, after this point, I have no idea what we did. The end. ***Mom, if you’re reading this post, check out the wall in the photo that I posted of Clarks Diner…it’s our fireplace…:-)
