B. and I watch Tehran - Season 2…

6/3/22 - Friday

8:30-9:00 - I’m up so I go downstairs to say good morning to the animal. I take her outside to go potty and survey my yard. Return inside and coffee for me, cheese for her. I go upstairs.

9:00-12:00:

-I read a few pages of How to Win Friends and Influence People, then I report to my office.

-I check the Canvas shell for my high schoolers to make sure the students were able to take the Final. One student asks if she can complete a make-up quiz and the other student submitted answers to a Video Quiz that was due weeks ago. I email the Chapter Review Quiz to the student and post the student’s Video Quiz score.

-My therapist texts me and asks where I am. Oh no! We made some schedule changes because we’re both going on vacation and I thought my therapy session was on the 10th, NOT today! Long Covid or Alzheimer’s? We reschedule for next Friday and she is not happy about it. I’m so embarrassed. I was positive it was scheduled for next week...

-Tuc, the Director of Membership, at The Club, asked to meet with L. today. This sounds like a job interview, so I text L. to make sure she asks Tuc for the commission schedule. Asking that one question in particular will show that L. has sales experience and may help with her getting hired. I also tell L. NOT to say anything about our upcoming vacation during the interview. We text back and forth throughout the hour.

-I review the Discussion Board for my fully Online class at College No. 2 and compile the students’ participation scores for the assignment - then I post them to the online gradebook.

-I update Attendance for the past 3 weeks.

-B calls and invites me to dinner tonight…Mexican takeout! Yum.

-I check email at College No. 1.

-I check email at College No. 2.

-I check personal email.

-I check the schedule of classes at College No. 1 to see what Enrollment looks like for Fall Semester 2022. Not good…it looks like I’m under-enrolled. I’m assigned two classes for next semester, but it’s unlikely they’ll run.

-I complete and scan my Spring 2023 Preference Sheet for College No. 2.

Life Administration

• I correct yet another shortage in my escrow account and prepare the envelope. At least the shortage is only $35. Why does this keep happening?

• I prepare a letter to my HOA in response to “dog-poop-gate”, denying that I’ve ever left dog poop unattended. I call my accuser a liar, then I email and mail the letter to the HOA secretary.

• I received a $9.00 refund from my retirement account with instructions to call the phone number if I have questions. I want to know why I’m receiving a refund so I call the number and I’m on hold for 40 minutes, only to find out that the refund is legit. I take this time to eat some overnight oats.

• I write the monthly check to my retirement account [$150] and seal in an envelope.

2:30-4:00-Blog post.

4:00-5:30-Shower. Lotion. Make-up. I wear an avocado-green, halter/tank top, combo with gold sequins; jeans with a brown belt that L. gave me; and a maroon-glass, earring and necklace set.

5:45-6:15-I drive to B.s house.

6:15-10:30-At B.’s and I have chicken taquitos with rice and beans and a ranch salad. It is so good! B. is considering installing pavers in his driveway so he has me look at samples. I bounce ideas/suggestions off him about possible driveway options.

-B. and I watch one episode of The Perfect Mother. This is a French movie but we’re watching it dubbed and it sucks.

-We switch to the second season of Tehran and watch an episode which is really good. I don’t get Apple TV, but B. does. I leave after the episode.

-10:30-11:00 - Driving home.

-11:00-12:30-L. Is home and we debrief about her meeting with Tuc. He says he wants to hire her and tells her he doesn’t know the commission schedule, even though he’s the Director of Membership and earns a commission. I tell L. that’s bullshit - there’s no way in hell Tuc doesn’t know the commission schedule. He’s a liar. L. replies that Tuc was very convincing…she is certain he doesn’t know the schedule. Having worked in sales myself for several years, I recognize this for the lie that it is…only…why? Why would he lie about not knowing the commission schedule? So he can tell L. she will NOT be earning a commission? It’s unclear.

12:30-1:30-Blog posts.

1:30-2:30-Kitchen duty. I prepare more overnight oats, pack my lunch bag for tomorrow, and ready my coffee.

2:30-3:15-Nighttime routine. Bed. I set my alarm for 6:00.
